My Story

“To “amp up” is to electrify and excite. In my eyes, that is the driving force of education.”
A transplant to Southern California, I grew up a few thousand miles away in New Jersey, but have become a true West Coast fanatic. Before hopping coasts, I attended Princeton University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, earning High Honors upon graduation. With a longstanding passion for education, I dedicated my thesis work to exploring the social and emotional impacts of different grading scales on college students.
After graduating, I worked at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes for three years, both in New Jersey and here in Southern California, providing intensive remediation for children and adults with learning difficulties. Prior to working at Lindamood-Bell, I was a Branch Manager for SAT Prep courses in my hometown and ran small group classes, as well as one-to-one sessions.
Since a young age, I have always found happiness in volunteering. Some of my favorite experiences were coaching in the local Special Olympics in high school, spending afternoons in college as an aide at a school for Autism, and supporting crisis hotline callers in their times of need. Today, I enjoy working with students of all ages and backgrounds to help them overcome learning struggles and reach their full potential.
